The Laat, the Langestraat and several other small inner city streets form the backdrop for the more than 9.000 participants in the Alkmaar City Run by Night. The cosy atmosphere, the beautifully illuminated route and the musical experience ensure that this popular event is sold out in a few days every year.

The organization of the Alkmaar City Run by Night itself had a clear idea of how the medal should be designed for this edition. Our DTP was able to work energetically with the following wishes:

Run & Swing theme
The Alkmaar City Run by Night is distinguished by a spectacular Run & Swing theme. Along the course are DJs, samba bands and dance groups to guide the participants to the finish. Disco lights illuminate the streets. After the finish the local hospitality organize a great party. Nice bands and DJs provide the runners good dance music in the bars and discotheques.

The Great Church
This year the Great Church of Alkmaar celebrates its 500th anniversary. More than 25 local organizations celebrate this jubilee with special projects in and around the church. Therefore the Great Church should be featured in the medal design. Especially since all runners start and finish near the Great Church and Church Square.

It is also possible for the participants to order an additional Medaltab. This service is used for example by participants who unexpectedly run a PR. The organization refers its participants to this website. The costs for an additional order are € 5,50 incl. VAT.
