Medaltime won the 8-year medal tender for the Athens Marathon, The Authentic. Based on the Greek roots of Marathon, the Hellenic Athletics Federation decided to depict the history of the sport on the medals of the Athens Marathon. Once the 8 year set has been completed in 2026, on the Marathon’s 130th Anniversary, the engraved letters on the eight individual medals will spell the word “MARATHON”.
